Cheesecloth is 100% cotton and is primarily used for culinary purposes like making cheese, infusing sauces and dressings onto meat, and straining liquids from foods. It can also be used for backdrops in theater productions and holiday decorations. You can find it in different grades. The higher the grade, the higher the thread count it has making it more durable and thicker. Grade 10 cheesecloth is very thin, providing good water and air flow through the cloth and drapes very easily. Grade 90 cheesecloth is heavier with a high thread count, making it almost like a solid fabric. Watch the video to learn more!
